There are no future excavation dates at present; details of 2011′s phase of excavations are below.
To participate in excavations, we request that you contact Paul or Islay (details on poster above) so that we have a rough idea of how many volunteers to expect on site each day. You do not need to commit to full days – a few hours here and there will make all the difference. You are, however, welcome to drop by whenever you please!
All tools and equipment will be provided, but you are advised to bring the following:
- Sturdy footwear (essential); steel toe caps if possible
- Appropriate clothing, including waterproof jacket and trousers
- Hat and sunscreen
- Kneeling mat or knee pads
- Gloves (e.g. gardening gloves)
- Enough to eat and drink for the day (toilets will be available)
