Post-excavation Return to the Braehead Home Page
During the excavation the diggers took samples of all the different soils and sediments on the site. These sediments will be used to glean even more information about the people who built and used the site and the local environment in which they lived.

However, because we took over a thousand soil samples from the site we have to decide which samples will provide the most information and so these, as well as all the finds are now being assessed for their potential.

Once the assessment phase is completed full post-excavation will begin, with a wide range of techniques being applied to build up a detailed picture of life at Braehead around 2000 years ago.
