Salary range £20,561 to £26,345 (depending on skill set and experience)
AOC Archaeology Group is one of the leading, and fasting growing, commercial archaeology companies in the UK. We have a highly skilled and dynamic team and offer a full range of archaeological fieldwork, consultancy, survey, post-excavation and public archaeology services.
AOC is looking to recruit a suitably qualified Project Officer to work on various consultancy projects. The successful candidate will have to work within defined specifications, budgets and timetables. They will aid the wider AOC Consultancy team to develop desk based assessments and ES chapters; archaeological impact assessments, heritage site appraisals and written schemes of investigation. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of planning and historic environment legislation, policy and guidance, particularly in relation to Scotland and England.
Although you will be predominately based in our Edinburgh office the duties of this job may require you to travel and therefore a valid driving licence is required. CIfA membership is desirable and a valid CSCS card is essential.
It is vital that you are a good team member with a positive and enthusiastic approach to archaeology. You will also need to be self motivating and able to work independently and under your own initiative.
