Archaeologist

Sam KinironsSamuel took his bachelor’s degree at Trinity College Dublin before studying for a master’s degree in Medieval Archaeology at the University of York, graduating with distinction in 2018. During his time at university he was involved in a number of research projects with the National University of Ireland Galway, such as the Finn Mac Cumaill’s Places project. After graduating he worked briefly with Rubicon Heritage before joining AOC.

 Since joining AOC, Samuel has worked on a range of watching briefs, evaluations and excavations. He has also gained experience in report writing and post-excavation techniques. Most recently he has been involved in the excavation of the deeply stratified urban site at India Buildings in Edinburgh.
