Each project has been different and has included both urban and rural excavation, as well as archaeological evaluation, machine monitoring and watching briefs. All of which have created a broad range of skills in excavation, recording, survey and reporting.

Since joining AOC, Lizzie has enjoyed working on a variety of sites and facets of archaeology, she has a particular interests in zooarchaeology, cremation studies, and resource management. In particular the study of animals in relation to power centres, which her undergraduate dissertation focused on. She is also interested in the importance of studying cremated remains in order to understand this elusive burial practise and its wider social implications.
