Catherine graduated from Cardiff University in 2017 with a BA in Archaeology, and went on to complete an MA in Public Archaeology at University College London.

As a student and volunteer Catherine has participated in a number of archaeological excavations in the UK and Europe. These include an Iron Age settlement on the Isle of Man, Neolithic burial mounds and a causewayed enclosure in Herefordshire, and a Roman tabernae in a forum in Italy. This range of sites gave Catherine a valuable insight into different archaeological methods and time periods.

Catherine began working in commercial archaeology in October 2018 and participated in a large long-term urban excavation in central London. On this project she excavated a range of different features, including an Elizabethan timber theatre.

Catherine joined AOC in August 2019 and has worked on a variety of sites across the country, in both urban and rural locations, ranging from large-scale infrastructure projects to short-term evaluations with archaeology dating from the Roman period to the First World War. She has also recently completed several watching briefs as the Supervisor.
