After graduating from Glasgow University in 2016, with a degree in archaeology Amy went on to study for a masters in Material Culture and Artefact Studies, completing it in late 2017. During her studies Amy had the opportunity to further her interest in working with finds, completing a work placement with Historic Environment Scotland’s Collections Unit.

Since graduating from university, Amy has worked in commercial archaeology gaining experience on a variety of excavations ranging from prehistoric to late Medieval sites. Amy joined AOC as a Post-Excavation and Conservation technician in 2018.
