Intern Exchange International Programme
AOC Archaeology Group has been working with Intern Exchange International since 1998 http://www.internexchange.com/archaeology_internships.html. Intern Exchange International was founded in 1987; they place pre-college interns from all over the USA in workplaces in leading British companies. It is one of the most established programmes available providing high quality work placements and is a great experience for the students who take part.
The first two interns came to work for AOC in the summer of 1999 and we have welcomed up to two interns every year since. While working at AOC Archaeology they are given an insight into the work that we do and have an opportunity to assist us with post-excavation tasks. The interns that come to AOC have an interest in archaeology and for many it is a chance to clarify career interest and goals before starting further education.
This year we have three interns working with us which is testament to how popular working at AOC Archaeology is with the interns.
