AOC Archaeology Group carries out hundreds of archaeological investigations, assessments and analyses every year. Some of these are purely research based, but the vast majority are undertaken in response to development, whether prior to planning applications or to meet planning consent conditions.
The majority of our archaeological investigations undertaken in response to development do not encounter significant archaeology but demonstrate rather an absence of archaeology in the areas investigated. However, from time to time AOC Archaeology Group does discover exciting archaeological remains. Visit our News page to read what AOC Archaeology has discovered most recently or visit our Projects page to read a variety of past case-studies.
